#8 | Fundraising Update | Digital Warderobe

  1. Personal:
Fundraising campaign

We've hit our fundraising goal and won't be collecting more money. Together, private donations and participation funds raised $230k. Big thanks to everyone who helped!

Vita's family is so grateful. They're now preparing for their operation in South Korea.

  • The 1% habit

Life has its good and bad times, and it's hard always to do your best. I often tell it to myself and my friends.

This is where the small, daily habit helps;)

1% improvement every day leads to 37x improvement in a year
  1. App:

Whering: I have been a huge fan and user for several years. It is a digital wardrobe and styling app. It's super handy, especially if you want to plan your trip, see what matches, or resell your items later.

The app can also "quantify" your wardrobe and provide some data: your wardrobe value, usage, and what's in your wardrobe, including your colour palette.

An amazing founder, Bianca Rangecroft, runs the company.

  1. Media:
  • To Watch:

While on the plane (as usual), I watched a Korean TV series, Beef.

It resonated a lot with me. Not that I enjoy fighting with strangers, but it reminded me once again that everyone is struggling with something they deeply try to hide. We should be kind to the people around us, as we never know what they're going through.

The story introduces us to two ordinary people, Amy and Danny. Amy is a businesswoman, while Danny is a regular worker having a hard time. After they get into a car fight, we see that they both have deep problems and pain.

The antidote to toxic positivity is the cathartic response to therapy-speak, the ugly truth.
  • To Read:

Atomic Habits: Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results.

The book is all about habits (clearly) and how to integrate them into our lives.

Top Three Quotes

"Every action you take is a vote for the person you wish to become."

Look at your actions, not your best intentions. What can you do now to move you to a better place?

"Habits are like small but powerful steps in self-improvement."

Make little changes. They'll build up over time.

"Your habits shape your identity, and your identity shapes your habits."

Start by picturing your ideal self, and choose small, regular actions to form habits that will get you there.
